Forgive me

You are right there, I can't see you
I'm blinded by my own delusions
How I wish for you to have a clue
That I'm lost inside all this confusion

I said I'd love you but I failed you
None of the mistakes were intentional
And as your longing for love grew
I become day by day unavailable 

Forgive me for I have done you wrong
I'm so lost that I could not be saved
I never thought it would be so strong
These feelings I might take to my grave
